United Nursing Services has a team of skilled in-home health care professionals including Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Massage Therapists. Our experienced health care professionals are available to provide assessment and rehabilitation for:

  • Neurological Conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Neuromuscular conditions such as ALS and Multiple Sclerosis

  • Pre-operative and post-operative care

Physical Therapy
Our Physical Therapists (PT) assess, diagnose and treat physical symptoms such as pain, limited movement, weakness, poor balance and limited ability to walk that is caused by injury, aging, disability or other health conditions. They work with patients and their families to restore, maintain and maximize movement, flexibility and physical independence through hands-on therapy, exercise, education, and equipment recommendations. Home exercise programs are prescribed between appointments and upon discharge.

Speech Therapy
Our Speech Therapists (ST) screen, assess, identify and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing and feeding problems. They provide exercise programs, education, and advice for communication and swallowing disorders related to other health conditions. They also provide recommendations for swallowing and feeding to prevent problems such as choking and aspiration that can lead to pneumonia.

Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists (OT) understand how illness, injury, disability or challenging life events can affect a person’s ability to do the everyday things that are important to patients/individuals such as dressing, bathing, feeding and participating in hobbies. They assess and instruct those with disabilities and functional deficits in the use of adaptive equipment; including wheelchairs, orthotics, and aids for eating and dressing so the patient/individual may be as productive and independent as possible.

Massage Therapist
Our Massage Therapists (MT) provide direct, hands-on treatment to manipulate the soft tissues of the body to promote health, rehabilitate, relax, prevent dysfunction, and relieve pain.
